We go above and beyond to ensure every nanny we place is qualified, aligned, and ready to support your family with care and professionalism. This includes:
Comprehensive background check
In-depth application review and personal interview
Professional reference checks
Verification of CPR and First Aid certification
Beyond vetting, we take the time to thoughtfully match your family with a nanny who fits your unique needs, values, and lifestyle. We consider personality, communication style, experience, and long-term compatibility.
We guide you through the process with personalized support, from initial consultation to confident decision-making. Once a match is made, we provide a nanny-family contract to help establish clear expectations and a strong foundation moving forward.

At Madison Mom Collective, nannies are paid directly by the family. This approach fosters transparency, consistency, and a strong, respectful working relationship from the start.
Nannies are typically paid as household employees, in accordance with state and federal guidelines. While we do not manage payroll, we are happy to provide guidance on best practices and trusted payroll resources.
This structure encourages stability, job satisfaction, and overall fulfillment for both the nanny and the family.

Providing thoughtful benefits helps create a healthy, long-term working relationship and shows your nanny that they are valued as a professional caregiver. While every family’s situation is different, common industry-standard benefits often include:
Guaranteed weekly pay
Paid time off (vacation days)
Paid sick days
Paid federal holidays
Mileage reimbursement when driving for work-related duties
Many families also choose to offer a monthly health insurance stipend to help cover healthcare costs. The amount can vary depending on your family’s budget and your nanny’s needs. When you contribute to your nanny’s health insurance premium, this amount is considered nontaxable compensation for both you and your nanny.
Additional perks some families offer include:
CPR or childcare recertification
Continuing education support
Cell phone reimbursement
Gym or wellness memberships
Holiday bonuses
Retirement contributions
The most important thing is clear communication and creating an arrangement that feels fair, sustainable, and supportive for both your family and your nanny. At Madison Mom Collective, we encourage families to view nanny care as a professional relationship built on mutual respect, trust, and transparency.

Not at all. While our name is Madison Mom Collective, our community is for anyone who supports, nurtures, or cares for children. We welcome dads, grandparents, caregivers, nannies, babysitters, expecting parents, and anyone looking for connection, resources, and support throughout the parenting journey.
Our goal is to create a warm, inclusive community where families of all kinds feel seen, supported, and connected.

We understand that unexpected situations happen, and reliable childcare is incredibly important for families. While we cannot guarantee immediate backup care, we do our best to support families by reaching out to available caregivers within our network when a nanny is sick or unavailable.
Because backup care depends on caregiver availability and scheduling, we encourage families to have a secondary plan in place whenever possible. Our goal is always to help make the process as smooth and stress-free as we can.
-
Every family and caregiver search is unique, so timelines can vary depending on scheduling needs, experience requirements, location, and availability within our network. On average, most families can expect the matching process to take anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
We take time to thoughtfully connect families with caregivers who align not only with logistics, but also with personality, values, and childcare style. Our goal at Madison Mom Collective is to create strong, lasting matches that feel supportive and natural for everyone involved.
